Can dreams come true? Everybody dreams about being the kind of person he or she would like to be (*we could use "he/she" but we'll use "he" from now on, for brevity. "She" is definitely included), about having the things he would like to have, and about doing the adventurous things he would like to do. Most people do this because dreams are free. Even the most extravagant of them cost nothing. You can dream about having a million dollars as easily as about having $100. It takes no effort. All it takes is a mental picture of something you want, and you can have a free excursion into that wonderful world of “dreams.” I repeat: Everybody does this, but there are people who dream and get the “million” while the rest wake up in a world of reality with only the $100. What has been your experience with this kind of dreaming? I am sure that some of your dreams have “come true.” Whatever these were, they were not a mysterious mutation from hopeful dreaming to rewarding reality. Even though one or two of your dreams may have seemed to burst into reality “out of nowhere,” that is not what happened. With you, in such instances, just as there is with the person who gets the “million,” there was a process at work which is based on some laws fundamental to human life at its best. By understanding this process, and by deliberately using these laws, you will know why some of your dreams have come true. But what is much more important, you will know how to cause the process to repeat its effects so that all your worth-while dreams will come true.
